They are pure stress with no ending or look-back to congratulate yourself. I never once played a console shooter and felt happy or content when I was done. Let them plan and work together to accomplish a goal and it’s okay if they turn it off after an hour and feel good about their experience. Give those fans stuff like insurgency and squad. There is no “win” bc it’s constant stress and grinding. Aside from not being actually fun, I honestly think they do a lot of harm to mental health. It’s a lot of dings and whistles meant to keep you thirsty and in a panic mode. The current AAA console model is like a slot machine. You can turn it off after a mission and go to bed content with your hobby. When you complete a mission you feel like you did something. These tactical games are awesome and also GRATIFYING.

I switched from Xbox to PC precisely bc of this problem. Depending on the version of DayZ you intend on playing (haven’t heard anything good about Standalone, and Arma 2 can most definitely play on any modern rig), you may have issues here or there, but IDK anything else regarding that, unfortunately.
